Songs I Heard This Week (8/19/16)

Through the good times and bad, it’s important to remember that this isn’t our final destination. One of the things that makes being a follower in Christ so exciting is knowing that destination and having peace of what awaits us beyond this life. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” -1 Corinthians 2:9

Last time I featured ‘Stratosphere’ by Mutemath, but I couldn’t stop playing this one after my sweet hubby remarked, “I still light up for you”…and after all these years. Of course my reply was, ‘likewise’.

In anticipation of the new Enigma album, Jess and I have been listening to some of our old favorites. This one is found on the greatest hits, “Love Sensuality Devotion”.

Just about everything Pogo releases is a treasure to me, yet this remix is a special kind of magic that penetrates my soul on an even deeper level. Perhaps because it features so many of my favorite Disney films, but the mix is just stellar!

I needed this encouragement as I’ve went through some difficult times recently. This song boosts my courage to keep moving forward, knowing God is in control of it all and that “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28
