Songs I Heard: Septembersongs
Ahh, September. For us Northerners, it means the first hints of fall color on the trees, cool crisp mornings, the ability to open the windows again and let in fresh air, turning those fireplaces back on for the first time in many months, and savoring warm drinks while wrapped in fuzzy flannels. And what better way to help usher in the fall season than with a bit of mood music? Here are some of my favorite Septembersongs to share with you in this month of transition! 🍂
As soon as September 1st hits, you almost can’t help but here this song playing in your mind!
Such a sweet song about recapturing the simplicity of childhood nostalgia and a great short film to go with it.
A song specifically written for Frank Sintra as he was about to turn 50 that speaks about aging and looking back on your life.
Light and breeze song to kick back with in a cafe, sipping some coffee and gazing out the window at that September rain.
A touching ballad about reuniting with a loved one and trying to recapture better times.
A song about keeping the love alive even in the later seasons of life.
A beautifully melancholy song by a forgotten band of the 80s, as they lament…”September, and all the leaves are falling to the ground”
