Reflections: Hazy Grey
Life can be confusing…too many doors to walk through. Yes, I think most of us have been in a situation at some point where we simply don’t know what the heck we’re doing. How many times have we tried to go it alone and ended up making the wrong decision without thinking it through? I certainly have, especially if I react emotionally rather than taking a moment to return to my senses.
This song is meant to be a reminder that we need God’s guidance and wisdom, but also people who love and support us, who have our best interest at heart, to help us in times of confusion to get back on the straight and narrow. Sometimes we need to be that person for others. Cliche as it may be, people need people. We were created for relationship. Just about the time you think you’ve got it all figured out, you realize you don’t know as much as you think you do. This world is not always black and white, but full of gray. Sometimes things just appear gray as a deception, but we may need another voice of reason to help us decipher the truth. We’re all on a journey and the less mistakes we make, the more we will actually enjoy the trip, but it may require a little help.
HAZY GREY
Lyrics by Jakki Jelene(Life can be confusing
Too many doors to walk through
And I’m tempted daily
I just never know the right thing to doI need you to always be by my side
Who else will show me the way?
So, I need direction daily
To get through the hazy grey)Who am I
In this life?
What do I want?
Can’t decideI need you
By my side
Show me the way
So I won’t stray from the truthI can’t begin to survive on my own
I get lost in the hazy, hazy grey
If you were here I am sure I’d get by
But you’re not, so I won’tI’m a mess
Out of my head
Can’t think straight
This brain is deadWhere do I go?
What to choose?
It seems so close
But once again I loseI can’t begin to survive on my own
I get lost in the hazy, hazy grey
If you were here I am sure I’d get by
But you’re not, so I won’tI can’t begin to survive on my own
I get lost in the hazy, hazy grey
If you were here I am sure I’d get by
But you’re not, so I won’t
