Reflections: A New Series

Reflections is a new blog series I am starting, which will be an in-depth look at the meaning behind the music. I will discuss some of my thoughts behind the lyrics, the process of creating and what inspires me both with new songs as well as those from the past. After all, artists usually have something in mind when they create and I can’t tell you often I have been asked what a song I wrote was about. Having always fancied myself a storyteller with my songwriting more than anything else, I come from the perspective of wanting to relate to others through my lyrics, but for the most part I have kept these secrets to myself, hoping others would take the opportunity to interpret them as they see fit. Yet something inside has been tugging at me recently to be more open and share the thought process and explain these stories I want to tell…to give my listeners a glance behind the veil.
